Latest rankings release by FIBA world yesterday.

The Powerhouse USA still the number one basketball team in the world after dominating the previous Olympic games in Beijing China earning a total points of 876. Followed by the Olympics bronze medalist and current FIBA America champion with 832 points, the FIBA world champion and the Olympics silver medal winner are surprisingly on the third spot, the Greek team was on the fourth place, followed by the former soviet union countries Serbia and Lithuania. The German team of Dirk Nowitzki is on the eight spot, behind them are Australia and Italy. And from twelve spot last rankings the China is now on the 1oth spot with of course Yao Ming leading them.

Our Philippine team is ranked 63 out of the 73 countries who are FIBA members, it is a surprise to us because our team is the current SEABA champion, depending SEA games gold medalist and finishing sixth in the Asian Games. While the our neighbor Malaysia is on the 60th spot having won nothing in any FIBA tournaments.
